broadstreetbully Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I have been trying to find this "catalog" folder for the past 6 hours,in between searching high and low for a straight-forward answer on how exactly you install a new premium template to the oscommerce store. In my CPanel's file manager I go into public_html,go into "store"( my oscommerce) and look for this never-before-seen "catalog" folder. I got a sick template I wanna use,but I have no clue how to install it. everyone says to check the knowledgebase, but that just confuses everything more-it's no help at all in this department. can someone please let me know where there is a tutorial or some info that makes sense on how to install the templates....please!!! for the love of God!!!

My guess is "store" is your "catalog".
BryceJr Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Look for an install folder. The install script is usually there, at least in the base osc install. Catalog folder may have been renamed. Renamed to what? I don't know. can someone please let me know where there is a tutorial or some info that makes sense on how to install the templates.. You'll get it from the template provider that provided you with the template.
burt Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Incredible that you would even contemplate installing a so-called "premium template" when you don't know the basics of osCommerce. What are you going to do when it is installed and it breaks something else? Don't expect to come to this forum asking for support as support is not given for 3rd party products such as templates. Most template vendors also do not give support. Hence, you need to know osCommerce inside out, before using a template.
