We have an e-commerce site offering fishing tackle, so items vary in size and weight. We want to ship by weight, not by dollar amount or amount of items. We added the USPS Priority Flat Rate Mail module to our site (by the way, thanks, Scott, for that great addon!). This should handle the majority of our items as we're using weight to designate which flat rate box/price to display to the customer. We're were getting stuck is how to charge for oversize items and multiple packages. How do you tell the system to charge extra postage on oversize items? How does the system know when you will need multiple packages? We would like to ship the oversize items using Priority Mail. We looked at the Product Attributes, but we're not sure that will work, especially if it turns out we need to ship multiple packages. We know someone out there has run into these same issues; just looking for a way to calculate shipping on these types of orders. We want what's fair for the customer and fair for us.
