kneerat
Hello, Today on my site: titletownnostalgia.com an odd message showed up on the top of the homepage: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/content/k/n/e/kneerat/html/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. what does this mean? and how can i fix?
ricksteruk2005
it means that the server can write to the configuration files CHMOD 644 the inlcudes/configure.php file and see if that fixes it I dont help with templates (thats what the seller is for) th search function will often help, when it dont try this in google. site:http://www.oscommerce.com/forums then your search word
kneerat
Sir, I had someone else set the website up for me... what does that mean to a guy who doesnt know much about setting up websites?
ricksteruk2005
you need to connect to ther server using something like FLASHFXP or if you have cpanel as your control panel for your main website you can goto file manager, look inside the includes folder, there is a file called configure.php you have a option to change the permissions (what the website can and can not do to the file) need to change the numbers to 644 and if that dont work try 666 I dont help with templates (thats what the seller is for) th search function will often help, when it dont try this in google. site:http://www.oscommerce.com/forums then your search word
