do you have a 2co account? if so, do you resell products that you did not manufacture yourself?

if yes, did they ask you for your MANUFACTURER'S licensing rights to produce that item???

I dropped 2checkout when they wanted me to basically keep an inventory on thier server....it was twice the work and not worth at that point.

you don't need to keep an inventory on their server, all my transactions works as invoice.

Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.

I work for 2checkout as the Customer Advocate. It actually depends on what you would be selling. There are some products that have a "Master License" that is easily obtained and/or are freely available for resale - these products do not require confirmation from the manufacturer. Other products that are often pirated or "mimicked" (handbags, clothes, DVDs) would require more documentation for us to be able to approve the site.

I believe my products would fall under this category. all that is required to sell my (type of) products is a reseller's permit.

they are low value items and can be pirated (if you want to get technical, every type of product is fair game to scammers), but no so much.. bootlegs of my type of product normally sell cheaply at $5-$10, real products $15-$20.

after doing some research online it looks as though 2co plays games with sellers quite a bit. this particular situation sounds very similar to what i encountered, and it's an entirely different industry: http://forum.abestweb.com/showpost.php?p=8...mp;postcount=22

No heck, as they resell your products which you are selling.

I am not exactly clear how the linked issues is related to what you asked about above. In the linked post, the primary issue was one where we were not able to view the supplier's website. This was followed by a clarification of 2Checkout's relationship with our suppliers. Ultimately, this relationship was not the solution for that particular supplier.

If you are in a similar situation, I would like to be able to help you. I can help clarify any aspect of 2Checkout's policies or Terms of Service or I can check to see why we would not be able to review your site. If you would like to do this privately, I can be reached at [email protected]
