Orders' products suddenly stopped getting into the database

One of the websites I am working on suddenly stopped recording the orders' products into the orders_products table. It is of no matter what cause that but I can't fixed it because when I tested the checkout_process.php it seems that the file is not being used in the checkuot processed :? which is bizarre. I have deleted the file completely, haven't paid the order, but placed a test one, gone through the whole process and cancelled it on our payment services' website. It recorded the order, the products are in the customer_basket table and thats all of it. I am wondering where is the insertion query for the products if it is not in checkout process obviosly :? any ideas on that ?
