jimmyharwood Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Hi, I am running 2.2rc2a, when I have STS running the £ sign (sterling GBP) is missing and looks like this 57.50. If I place a $ sign in the symbol left of the currencies box then the $ sign is shown. When I turn STS off the pound sign is there. I have tried changing the USD in the english PHP to GBP and also tried putting both in, although I am not sure if I did this right ('USD', 'GBP'). I am not real good at scripting (useless really), I have had a look around, but can not see the conflict. Can any body help, I really like STS and would be gutted if I had to turn it off. Many thanks in advance Jimmy ps I have tried searching the forum but can not find an answer, if it is there please accept my apologies (any point me in the right direction :) Quote

Sam was correct but you should not have had the iso reference to begin with as you were using STS and it automatically picks up the settings from your admin: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> <html $htmlparams> <head> <!--$headcontent--> You should have the above in your template and leave out the meta tag as it is picked up with the $htmlparams and $headcontent tags. Sorry for that, obviously I did not read the manual properly (a unfotunate qwirk of my nature). The change that Sam suggested has done the trick, but hey, I am always one to listen to advise when it is offered and I will remove the meta. I thought I had placed the question in the STS section, but I guess tired eyes played a part - I had spent a few hours looking for the answer. Do you want me to move the post to the correct forum? Unfortunatly I am not sure how to do that except for reposting it. Let me knwo what you think is best and I will do it - it is the least I can do for the help and advice offered. Many thanks Jimmy Quote
