Issue with customers.php

I dont remember if this ever worked... i have a (heavly modified) instalation of oscommerce and if i want to modify any detail of a customer (name, email etc) i have to do it directly with php myadmin. Customers.php does not record the modifications i submit. I click on "update" , the new info shows up ok but when i return to the customers page nothing changed.

I would appreciate some help because it s really annoying to go into the database every time i need to change the customers info.

This is the problem... i cant edit the details in admin and i cant figure out where the problem is

Sometimes i have to edit because for example they mistype the email address

no, no warnings.... i click update, the info shows up ok but nothing changes in the database so when i return to the customers page the old info is there

if i remember correctly i manually deleted some fields like telephone/fax in create_account.php... but i dont know if this has anything to do with the fact that i cant edit customers.php in admin

Did you think about backing up before deleting code? If you had you could restore which is what I would do. Upload a fresh copy and see if that works, then read this.

That was easy... i just forgot to set the minimum value of the telephone field to 0. That solved the problem.
