Multiple Pricing Options on One Page

Hi,

We sell shelving and have recently started selling online.

However, there are so many variations with regards to height, depth, width, loadings etc. which makes it difficult when it comes to showing the available options online.

Does anybody know if is possible to have a page on which the price will change, as different options are selected.

e.g. If I choose 3 shelf levels the price shown may be £30.00, however if I decide I need 4 levels and select this then the price may change to say £40.

Is there a way in which you can make the price change on the product page each time a different option is selected, as opposed to adding costs on for each additional item, as the later is not suitable for my business.

Thanks in advance.

Yes this is what I've done at the moment, however its not really that suitable.

This is because the overall price of the product will depend on three seperate options, so i can't generalize the price of each option.

I know it sounds complicated.

Is there a way that will allow the price to change based on 3 or more variables.

A website selling similar products to me has pages where the page almost reloads with the new price once the options have been selected.

Is this possible on os commerce?

Thanks for your help so far. I hope people understand what I'm getting at, kind of hard to explain!

***EDIT - can you post a link to the site to help us understand

hrmmm will try -

we sell horse equipment - eg

A Saddle comes in 3 Widths / 3 Sizes / 2 Colours

So within Product options we have - Colour / Size / Saddle Width

And then in Option Values we have -

Width-

Normal

Wide

Ex Wide

Size-

17"

18"

18.5"

Colour-

Black

Brown

So we have to add all three Attributes with there own Value Price options (ITS A PAIN ADDING THE PRODUCTS)

Now I maybe shooting myself in the foot because I've not gone live with my site yet but it seems to work in my test site -

If this helps and you try it and it works can you let me know, it could save me a lot of time

I cant post a link at the moment as this page isnt live yet.

You have the right idea in terms of product options.

My problem is (using your example) that I want the page operating so that:

- There is a standard option selected on the page when you first come on to it e.g. Width - Normal, Size - 17", Colour - Black

- The price of this standard of this option (including all attributes chosen) is shown as the default price.

- However, if I then decide I want; Width - Wide, Size - 18", Colour - Black, I want it to change the default price shown as a total for all options, rather than just the price of the attributes.

Basically what I am trying to achieve is having multiple attributes (say Width - Wide, Size - 18", Colour - Black) as just ONE product option with a combined price for all multiples.

I can give you a link to someone elses website to show you what I am trying to achieve:

http://www.rapidracking.com/Products.aspx?...Complete%20Bays

Note how when a different option is selected, the price on the right hand side is updated straight away.

Any ideas?
