rustyclockwork Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Hello, I'm probably missing something simple. I have my site working great, but I need to add descriptions to my categories. None of the contributions are working for me. I must of installed another contribution for an unrelated addition, and I think that is what's preventing the categories description contributions from working correctly. Is there anyone who knows osCommerce pretty well as to what I might of done? I would like to be able to keep the category pictures as well as showing a description. Thank you very much for your time, I try to do everything myself before resorting to posting a help question such as this. Jason www.oldfoundry.com
jhande Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 It looks like you either didn't fill in the page heading for the games category or you commented out a bit of code. In any event... This contribution worked fine for me - Category Description 5.02 But what you really should do is add - Header Tags SEO ;) - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -

Jack_mcs Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 I would recommend changing the list to use Sitemap SEO instead of Dynamic Sitemap and be sure to use version 1.3 of the Google Sitemap. Otherwise you will run into a duplicate content problem.
