skeedo
With a passion! That user complaint thing is really dicking me over. Instead of customers sending you an email, they just send a paypal complaint instead. Anyone know of cheap merchant processing?
burt
2checkout * is cheap to set up. Not perfect, but a lot better than relying solely on Paypal. * Affiliate link is the Oscommerce Affliate ID for 2checkout.

It might be cheap to setup, but very expensive to use. $0.45 per Transaction 5.5% of Transaction Amount Holy shit. 5.5% ??? That's the worst merchant charge rate I have seen in years. Guido Bunte
hallo, perhaps you would like moneybookers... (nearly the same as paypal) just 0.75% (max. $1.50) per Transaction https://www.moneybookers.com/app/?rid=129305 you find my contribution in payment modules... its very easy to install... enjoy... greetings from germany, guido bunte

Try this then: http://ccnow.com/ Not so bad after looking at that huh? 2checkout is not a merchant account. You're using their merchant account. That's why the fees are higher. It's a decent option for sites that don't have the sales to warrant the expense of their own (and for those of us that would rather not deal with the whole "real" merchant account thing). 8)
Guest
Yeah, wow. CCNOW is a scam! Propay.com might be an OKAY option if you're not willing to get a real merch account. It's another option, anyhoo. You can key in credit card #s directly,w which is nice, but processing limits are low, unless you want to put a deposit down. wizardsandwars
It's a decent option for sites that don't have the sales to warrant the expense of their own Taking a very close look at this, it looks as though if you do more than about $1200 a month, then it is cheaper to actually get your own merchant account. By switching from 2checkout to a merchant account, we're personally going to save about $200 a month. And we are not exactly high volume. This goes straight to the botton line. :D :D ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. If you have a question about any of my posts here, your best bet is to contact me though either Email or PM in my profile, and I'll be happy to help. burt
Agree with Ron, it's a pretty good option for people just starting out with E-Commerce who maybe don't have the budget to open a true merchant account, or maybe they cannot have a merchant account for legal reasons etc etc... Guest
Hi, We are based in Hong Kong and wishing to get a merchant account in the US where a majority of our customers come from. Any suggestion? Any experience to share? Chow
