mjjwatson
Hi, I'm trying to modify a very cutom made ATS oscommerce site that I have inheritted. I'm wanting to have a category menu visible on every page apart from the main page. In fact, I'd like a completely different front page layout to the rest of the site. Is there any tips on how I can make this happen? Thanks
knifeman
If you move your store to a subfolder, then you can place an entirely different index page in the root. Many people do this to have a flash intro or other landing page and then click some link to actually enter the oscommerce section. mjjwatson
Sure, although I was looking actually to simply remove one column on the front page. Ideally I'd have the welcome message/certain images/ category image menu on the main page, and then when one navigates to a specific category or other page a column will appear with a text view of the categories and subcategories. Is this feasable? :)
Guest
Try this. It will let you control the the left and right columns. You can also set it to hide the columns on the default part of the index page while still showing them when a category of manufacturer is selected.
