Outbound e-mails on customer sign up.

Hi guys,

I have had my webshop running for a while now selling engineering grade plastics and have noticed a couple of things that i want to change. The first being the e-mail that gets sent out when a new customer signs up for the website.

At the moment the email reads "Thank you for signing up to Click on plastics.co.uk" etc etc. But there is a part in the e-mail which reads "we can also gift wrap your orders and ship to a direct recipient, great for delivering birthday gifts!"

Now, I don't know about other people but i wouldn't want a piece of plastic for my birthday.

"hey fred, i got you a present..."

"wow cool"

"do you like it?"

"no" *cocks shotgun*

All joking appart I just want to change the e-mail to something more suitable for what I sell. Is it possible to change it?

Thanks.

The text is probably in /includes/languages/english/create_account.php

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

No text in that file that matches the e-mail. Only the text that get displayed in the web browser on the sign-up completion.

Any other ideas? I've trecked through for a while now and can't find anyhting.

If you have a standard osC install then the file Jim pointed you too is where the text would be.

includes > languages > english > create_account.php

Make sure you looked at the correct create_account.php file and not the one in your catalog (or root) folder.

If in fact you still can't find the text, my guess you're not using a stock install.

Check includes > modules and see if there is an email contribution added, such as UHTML Emails.

Other than that I wouldn't have a clue.
