Restoring backup to new site?

Hi,

 

ok I've got a site currently up as www.dwdresses.co.uk but I dont like the look of it as its just standard. So I found a template online which I would like to user wihch I uploaded to www.jcdcgadgets.co.uk/shop . Now I thought best way to move current database to new site would to be back up the old one within the admin section and then upload in the admin of the new site. This doesnt seem to be working as nothing is happening and I guess I gone about this in the wrong way.

 

The other thing I was thinking is that I have installed a few add ons for my site like sicount codes and attributes so is this going to affect me trying to move the site. Any advice would be welcomed.
