Hi,

I"m new to OSC and did a manual install. Web store comes up fine with images and all. Using demo data shopping cart remains empty after selecting items to add. I"m guessing its because I did not add a payment method yet.

When logging into admin/login.php I can use a non username and the page will show me red alert indicating that the logon was not successful. When using the "root" account with its password it does not generate an error. The page refreshs and comes back to the same page. I've run a utility to reset the admin password so that it prompts me to create a new admin account and I've checked the database and the new account does get created with admin rights. I'm guessing I have a parameter in the admin/includes/configure.php file that is incorrect. Keep in mind that I guessed at using this file because no where in any documentation I've been able to find have I found any reference to any changes that were required to this file. Does anyone have a solution to this admin page issue and that can guide me to documentation that would explain the variables listed in this file.

Testing platform:

Windows XP SP3

IIS/PWS "Person Web Server"

phpMyAdmin-3.1.2-english

php-5.2.8-win32-installer.msi

oscommerce-2.2rc2a.zip

mysql-essential-5.1.30-win32.msi

Hi Richard,

I am having the same problem as you are. I also had that problem when selecting a product and being redirected to a "file not found" page. During the install I had left off a slash ( / ) at the end of the file name I wanted to go to. I am looking for the same type of issue with the admin page, but to no success as yet.
