bluwtrsal
I read the installation information of the documentation pdf. It discusses environments including Linux, Solaris, Microsoft Windows. as well as MySQL and PHP. Does this mean that those with Macintosh platform should walk away from osCommerce? Any and all advice and suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
shooter-boy
Absolutely not! Mac is virtually Linux, and quite happily runs MySQL/PHP. I run a web development company and all of our development is done on Mac. Our web servers are Linux for stability and speed, but Mac works great for development - better than PC IMO since directory structures are the same as Linux (web server) machines. I'm sorry, but i cannot offer Free support via PM etc, and osCommerce forums prohibit me from putting any reference to paid support in my signauture. However viewing my profile may provide links to my website or something like that which you may find useful.
