Paypal visiting my site?

Recommended Posts

I have Supertracker installed on my oscommerce store and occasionally I have a visitor from "notify.paypal.com". Today it visited for 12 minutes and made 2 clicks. My first thought was oh, must have received an order and this is the callback, however there is no paypal order. So, I suspect it is a bot just checking to see if SSL is installed. Anyone able to shed some light on this?

No more along the lines of

https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_shop-ext

PayPal list shops on their site that accept PayPal. I'd image they send out crawlers too.. I don't know for sure though.

I just searched for my store and it is not in the directory. Any other idea? Anyone else know why? Anyone see notify.paypal.com visiting your site for no apparent reason?

Anyone?

Also this ip:65.55.209.224 is on my site almost 24/7 with multiple entries showing up simultaneously in Supertracker. Right now there are 15 out of the 38 online that are from this ip. I ran a IP whois on the ip and its from Microsoft Corp. I'm guessing it is a bot indexing the site however it constantly adds products to the shopping cart... I thought bots were not supposed to submit forms?

Should I ban this ip?
