Manufacturer categories

Does anybody know how I can create alternative categories for each manufacturer?

 

For example, if I sell cosmetics I divide all products in several categories, such as make-up, hair, skin care, etc., following further dividing in subcategories, and then the products themselves.

Many customers prefer to shop by brands. They normally start with choosing a manufacturer. There comes a problem. When they go to a manufacturer they see hundreds mixed products. It really makes sense to create some categories at this point, considering that many manufacturers have specifically called lines of own products, which are different from general categories in the main menu (for example: herbal magic, anti-aging line, or even some kind of eye response, etc). In many situations customers shop by this particular lines of a particular manufacturer.

But how can I do that in oscommerce? I can't find this option in standard version. Module needed? Which one?
