beginner question

Hi,

I'm new to osCommerce, and I'm so lost, please help me.

I was trying to upload a product image to my store by logging onto my osCommerce account. Although I have seen the upload successful green message on the top left of my screen, somehow it is not showing on my website. Could someone please tell me what's going on?

When I make a change on osCommerce, do I also need to make the same change through my ISP under file manager? How do my osCommerce make a connection with my ISP server?

Could someone please help me? Thank you!

If you upload a product through the admin functions at say

www.anton.es/admin

The product should appear on the site at

www.anton.es

No further action shold be required.

Does the product description change if you change that?

What is your url?

I found the image on my website now. Thank you!! It has showed up!

However, why is it when I click on my category, even though it says there is products under that category, I cannot see the subcategory showing to replace the "what's new page"? Did I do something that I shouldn't have done?

Should I just restore my store to the default stage as when I first installed osCommerce? And, how do I do that?

Thank you so much!!

Don't thank me, I suspect it was there all the time.

I believe you need to review the values in you configuration files.

I tried to go to a category and got the link

artonbeads.net//index.php/cPath/24

note the double slash.

Then, personally I would delete all the top level categories using the tools in your shop admin area. Then set them up from new.

ok, I deleted all of my top categories, and re-add a new category named "beads". But I notice when I click on "Beads", there is a message says:

"Error!

Unable to determine the page link!"

I also notice that there is a double slash before index.php, and I have no idea why it is this way.....how do I fix it?
