configure.php permissions problem...

I'm still getting the following error message eventhough I changed the permissions of the configure.php to 444 or 400.

Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/mysite/public_html/mall/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.

Can someone please help me to solve this? Thanks.

The problem is solved... It's due to the server setup that requires any changes to file permissions can be done only through cPanel, and not via FTP programs. I've used the File Manager inside cPanel to change the permissions of configure.php to 444.
