Editing for Mainpage

I'm editing the english/index.php file and was wondering how much to edit and move the "New products for january" box between the columns. If this has been covered in the forums, please post a link. If I'm in the wrong area to move this box, point me in the direction I need to be. I've searched the forums and couldn't find anything relating to this.

I figured it out. This is how I edited the file and it works fine.

 

define('TEXT_MAIN', ' I placed my text in here<br><br><table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="5" cellpadding="2"><tr><td class="main" valign="top"></td></tr></table>');
