Guest Posted January 27, 2003 Share Posted January 27, 2003 I have used a whole lot of free scripts and have little problem installing and tweaking things or using a non yet stable release. However I find there are many different things with this community than I have found anywhere else. I understand what open source is and what a contribution is. I'm pretty sure I understand what the snapshots are all about. My questions are: * Why are the snapshots daily? I'm not used to releases this frequent. Or are they not true releases? * Will installing a snapshot today and then another next week overwrite or upgrade my previous snapshot? Will it screw my tweaks and installed contributions? * Will the installation of a snapshot today overwrite my current 2.1 install or upgrade it? Not a big deal because it is not live. Just curious if I should continue to play with my ver 2.1 or go right to 2.2. I really like this software and am trying to get acquainted with the community over here. If these are stupid questions, I'm sorry. If there is one place that can answer my questions, please direct me. I have not found much by searching so I must ask. Thank you!
