MotoD3lux3
Hey Simon, The Banner Manager lets you place banner images (ads etc) around your site. It tracks the views and the hits on each banner. You can have more than one banner in one location and the manager will randomly rotate these ads. The banners are designed to link off to external sites but you can change the code so that they function as internal links. It is a super handy tool/ Hope this helps. -- Cheers MotoD3lux3
lindsayanng
the banner manager is REALLY confusing when you first start because you ASSUME that you just add a banner and it will go where you want it, but you have to place the code for the banner, which is obvious to some, but not to all.. You can see a copy of the code if you look in your footer.php (that is if you still have the oscommerce banner there) And then you just create a new banner in the banner manager, and then post your code, but make sure to put the newly created banner "group" name in there.. its really a great tool when you get to working with it A great place for newbies to start Road Map to oscommerce File Structure DO NOT PM ME FOR HELP. My time is valuable, unless i ask you to PM me, please dont. You will get better help if you post publicly. I am not as good at this as you think anyways! HOWEVER, you can visit my blog (go to my profile to see it) and post a question there, i will find time to get back and answer you Proud Memeber of the CODE BREAKERS CLUB!!
