Tried to add products description in Product Listing page but doesn't work

I'm trying to add products descriptions in Product Listing Page but it doesn't work, please help!!!! I made the following changes to product_listing.php:

There are different contributions available to help with that.

 

The one that I use - Products Short Description v.2 allows me to add a seperate description to the product listing page than the product info page.

The reason your way is not working is because $listing_sql in index.php does NOT select the products_description field and hence when you try to reference it theres nothing there because it isn't selected - if you want to do it your way open index.php and locate these:
