Server upgrade breaks site

Recommended Posts

My host upgraded their servers and my site is no longer passing information from nonsecure side to the secure side. The shopping cart fills normally, but after loggin in, all items are lost from the cart. If you had saved items already in the cart, those are in the cart, but not the pre-login new items. If you then go back to the non secure site to browse, you lose the "saved" items and the cart will fill normally, but when you go to checkout you are forced to log in again and lose anything that has been added.... Not such a great way to run a store.

Any ideas of what I should check would be appreciated.

The site upgrade was as follows:

Omnis Network is pleased to announce the upgrade of our web hosting platform to CentOS from our previous Gentoo based hosting cluster.

This upgrade will permit for more rapid deployment of security related updates as well as provide a better tested and maintained platform for your hosting.

As a result of this update Apache has been upgraded to 2.2 and PHP version 4 has been upgraded to the last release, 4.4.9. PHP version 5 has also been upgraded to 5.2.8 and Perl is version 5.8.8.

PHP 4.4.9 Release Announcement:

PHP 5.2.8 Release Announcement:

Please note that PHP 4.4.9 is the final release of version 4. We highly recommend that you migrate your code to PHP 5 if you haven't already. You may enable PHP 5 on your account in the Account Manager.

Some PHP and Perl extensions and libraries have been updated or deprecated. If a Perl or PHP extension that you were using is no longer installed please let us know immediately.

Thanks again,

Jason
