Guest
Ive recently taken on the task of heading up the SEO for my own website www . sportsnutritionsuperstore . co.uk i was advised on another thread that maybe i should begin to build links on the footer of my index page to the manufacturers. I have dreamweaver but when i have tried to start building these links the index page seems locked?? How do i over come this?? Apologies for my lack of knowledge but i guess everyone has to start somewhere. Thankyou in advance for any support / advice..

rs2k
locked? want to explain what LOCKED measn? I think I know what you mean. When I use Frontpage to edit my footer.php file it always hangs for about 3 minutes because we have a link to google checkout on it. I think your best bet is to get a php editor like ultraedit (or even notepad.exe) and put the link in manually. I remember the first time I tried to edit a php file. It was very confusing. Now it's very simple to me. I think it would be best for you to go through a couple php tutorials first. Frontpage and dreamweaver are not what you should use to modify oscommerce. Here's a php tutorial: http://www.w3schools.com/PHP/php_intro.asp
