Guest Posted January 15, 2009 Share Posted January 15, 2009 Hello :) Have searched through many threads about popup windows but can't seem to find an answer to my problem. Although I am much more familiar with oscommerce now I still am not too hot with coding and wondered if someone could help with a problem please. I would like to add a pop up window with a message in it on my checkout_payment.php when someone chooses paypal as the payment option. The reason for this is recently I have had a few paypal notifications come through but no order emails to accompany them and likewise no order pending in my admin relating to the payment. Several threads I have read regarding this problem advise that it is because following paypal payment the buyer needs to return to the store so that the order is then completed and will be shown in the pending section. I have the automatic redirects turned to on in my paypal account and usually the orders and payments come through no problem - but it seems to me that sometimes people are not waiting to be redirected to my site, or are closing their browsers thinking that they are done and this leaves me with the problem of a paypal payment notification but no order details. If I could make a popup window in the checkout_payment.php when the user chooses the paypal option to explain to them that they need to wait after payment to be redirected to site or order will not be finalised. I have looked in the product_info.php to try to see how the popup window there works for the enlarge image but it doesn't make an awful lot of sense to me.
