Guest
Hello All, I'm a newbie on oscommerce. I need your feedback about my site, any constructive feedback would greatly be appreciated. Thanks Yosias Wow, there's alot going on there. Do you really need 3 navigation menus? And there's too many graphics on the home page and too many things moving around. I don't know what to look at or where to click. Sometimes less is more.

PLUS a menu at the top left: Home, New Products, My Account, Shopping Cart (again), Checkout PlUS your Categories, which is found below some large graphics. It's too much. There's nothing wrong with having a top menu and your categories, just make a decision about which top menu you want to use & I personally would make it horizontal rather than vertical. JIPANG
Thanks to charinlasvegas, DIY and Simon ( from SHoutbox mysite ) I had remove : -Specials -Search -Contact Us -Create an account -Customer Login + Plus a link to the Shopping Cart. PLUS a menu at the top left: Home, New Products, My Account, Shopping Cart (again), Checkout I will removed these, but i still have no idea. I removed Ads/sample.jpg background colour, saved only 4kb from 35kb/ each to 31 kb ( photoshop save as web - jpeg High 60% ) if i'm use medium, graphics too poor. removed some large graphics done, removed footer, now i'm looking and concentrate work on dhtml vertical menu, Thanks very much quys... very constructive feedback, i will back soon
web-project
need to optimisation of graphics as with my 20MB broadband connection I waited nearly 2 minutes to load the first page - very slow. Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
JIPANG
need to optimisation of graphics as with my 20MB broadband connection I waited nearly 2 minutes to load the first page - very slow. thanks, PROJECT i had optimized graphics with cache graphics contribution ( totally constribution up to 20 addons ) .. i think these problem loading sites too slow because : 1. i'm using IIX connection ( these connection not good from outer my country, but very fast here, my page load 3 second only) so The bottleneck is not on you PROJECT, but from IIX connection. Since Taiwan Optic ever broken, lot of people changing their server from international location to local connection. 2. USING SHARED - Not VPS or not 1on1 hosting server, i'm only used share connection. 3. using automatic web stat to my website Sorry for my English thanks to all of you whenever patience to see my site, Yosias
Guest
Big improvements! I like your info at the top of the page, good idea. You still have a bit too much moving around for my taste, but that's just my opinion.
JIPANG
Thanks Char, I Like your feedback, very constructive. I'm sorry before, for late respond. your comments above make me think 1000x harder, how to split each "moving modules ". I have too much Moving, and that's right make anyone bloated. So i had to split Moving header, with OSC Slideshow modules. i'm make two header ( header.php & header2.php ) - header.php used on all page, except ( product_info.php ) - header2.php used only on product_info ( because i put oscslideshow above footer ) i think these the best of your taste char , because you can know about latest products added. some Removed : - Colum Left ( scrolling_new_products.php ) change with : - (specials slideshow ) Thanks Yosias

I did not understand your response. Not even a little bit. Your site front page is still extemely sloooooooooooooow to load. If your local customers can live with it, ok. BTW, my download speed is only 100Mb/s. Are going to get an ssl certificate?

I'm so sorry coopco for late answer, a little bit busy last week because changing server. please try to browse again, i hope better than early posted. I'm not used ssl certificate, because payment accepted only transfer bank and C.O.D. at my country 1 Mbps ( shared ) cost $ 300 USD, and 1 mbps pure cost $ 800 USD, thats why i'm put quadcomp locally because i'm estimate bandwidth each person at my country average on 100 kbps ( bit not byte ).
