Guest
I installed wishlist 4.0 but when a customer receives a link to the wishlist and then buys something using that link the item is not being removed from the wishlist. Isn't it supposed to be removed automatically? How can I remove it manually without opening up the database each time I need to remove something? Thanks, Michael

danthman
Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this? Does anyone have a working version? Is there a better version of a wishlist available? Michael I had the same problem but no one seems to have an answer. I don't have the knowledge to make it work correctly but here is a way for you to be able to delete the products from the customer's wishlist when they are purchased. It's a cheesy method but it's the best I can come up with. Maybe someone else can fix this mod so that it works the way it is supposed to. Here's what I did: I have added an additional box in the Create an Account page for the password by enabling the Company field. I then changed the text in english.php so that there are now three password fields. This password will be saved in their account so that you can look it up when you need to from the admin. I then added a note when they checkout on the payment page to indicate who the gift is for if it is from the wishlist. When someone buys something from the wishlist the name of the wishlist customer will be on the order. Go into the admin and click on Customers, Customers again, select the customer that the gift was bought for, click on edit and get their password and email. Then go to the site, log in as them and you will be able to delete the product from their wishlist so that someone else does not duplicate the purchase. Good luck

I wish it would remove them automatically but until someone comes up with an automatic fix this solves the problem. Thanks!
