atelierbeads
I recently migrated three 2.2ms2 sites to a new, updated server. Among the new server enhancements are up-to-date mySQL and PHP. It also has Register Globals disabled. I used the "osCommerce 2.2ms2-060817 Register Globals Off Workaround for PHP4 and PHP5" to amend the various files as necessary. There have been no error messages with regard to the php or mysql. All seemed to be well until tonight, when the following email was received by one of the site owners from one of his clients: "When I logged into the site today, my cart was empty, and I was saving things there as I had requests and money. I thought maybe it was just a long time since I had logged in, and it was expired, BUT Just today I had started a new cart, and had to prepare supper. When I logged back in, the cart was again empty." Naturally this is the most desperately important thing in the world to her, and the complaint was coupled with a veiled threat to take her business elsewhere. :) A check of the three sites reveals that the same thing is happening on all three: 1) User logs in, loads up a cart. 2) User leaves the site for some reason. 3) User returns, logs in, expects the cart to be there--but it is empty. I can vouch that this is happening on IE (don't know what version), Safari, and Firefox, and I can vouch that on my test systems, cookies are enabled and in order. What is it??? What can I do about it?? Thanks in advance, Anne
