I've checked other postings on similar problem, and I was trying to find .htaccess file in my directories and there were none. and I tried checking out with paypal and it connects me to nowhere. I selected paypal express checkout, and entered API user ID, password and signature. did I do something wrong with the next steps? I left them as was as follows. should I change or add anything? Guest Posted January 12, 2009 Share Posted January 12, 2009 Jodie, First things first: 1) Rename or remove the install directory. 2) Change the chmod of your configure.php file to prevent someone from locking you out of your store. 3) Upload the OSC button images to the /images folder using an FTP program in Binary Mode. ASCII will not upload the image files correctly. 4) Select Paypal Standard as your payment handler unless you choose to download and install Paypal IPN which is a better choice but requires some code changes.
