Adding new field to admin panel...

Added new product fields to the database, "make" and "model". These fields were added throughout the entire code. My search works great finding information in these fields. I even added the fields to the admin panel when inserting a new product although I'm using easy populate.

My problem is I want to turn these fields on within the description. In the admin panel under configuration there's a section called "Product Listing" which allows you to turn on certain fields but I can't seem to find which file controls this. Wanting to add "make" and "model" to this panel so I can choose to turn them on and off quickly.

Thanks in advance

the easyest wat to add configuration items is to use Total Configuration http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5040

That gives you full control over all setting, allows you to add new ones & shows some that are 'hidden' by default.

Its a quick easy install.

You then need to edit index.php to use those added items, look how the existing work to see how to do that
