Create Account does not accept free email accounts and triplicate options in oscommerce admin

This one has plagued me for a week and I've tried everything (as far as I know). Please please help me someone!

Users cannot create an account on my store using a free email account. I haven't disallowed any free email accounts along the way and thought perhaps it was something in the includes/classes/email.php but can't find anything wrong.

 

I can send to hotmail etc...accounts using my oscommerce 'send email to customers'option. No probs there!

 

Also in my oscommerce configuration some options are appearing in triplicates with no way to delete or remove them eg:

Also Purchased

Also Purchased

Also Purchased

 

It's weird! Shoud I just reupload the original admin configuration and /includes/language/english/configuration.php files? Would that help?
