estermazda
Hi, I've just uploaded the catalog folder to http://mysite.fr and started to follow the directions from the instructions. Thus I opened http://mysite.fr/catalog/install but got a prompt asking for username and password for "no access" to mysite.fr. I entered my username and password but access was denied. Closing the prompt I got the following error message from the page: Authorization Required This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required. I use Imac Os 9, with an older and no longer supported version of mozilla (firefox) What am I doing wrong?

campbeji
Hi, If I understand the problem correctly it sounds like you may have got your usernames and/or passwords mixed up. You should have a username/password for your store and you will also have a username/password for access to the server via ftp. Additionally you may have security enabled on the server directories which will give you yet another username/password combination. I find the best thing to do is to write all my passwords and usernames down as I create them and clearly lable them. I used to get mixed up with this sort of thing all the time. Easy to do. Good Luck Jim

Good Luck Jim Hi Jim, sorry for taking so long to answer you but I got taken in by the site building. I resolved the problem and it wasn't any of that but I don't remember what I did. Something had to do with the admin ... I had to resolve so many problems since then that I can't remember what I did with this one. However I'm just about finished, putting in the final small brush strokes. Thanks
