background image on header

Hello everyone,

I need your help please!!!!

I was trying to put a background image behind my Logo (exact place where Oscommerce logo was) on the header. The Logo looks fine. But when i put the background image i had the image only on the right side and my logo on the left with a white background on it. I tried to flatten the logo and background image in Photoshop so it would be one image, but when i upload it, it leavs a white gap on the right side of the header.

Well i realised by default osCommerce shops have 2 header images, one on the left, and one on the right. Am sure many of you have solved this issue already.

I was wondering how you did it, so that the logo appears infront and having the background image behind it, without any problems with Fireworks and IE??

Thanks for helping

Lalu

Place the image as a background in the table tag that makes up that area of the header. Or better yet, give that table a class and assign the background image in the stylesheet.

No I wont tell you how. But it is simple HTML. Do read this site: http://www.htmldog.com/guides/cssintermedi...ckgroundimages/

This is very basic and it would be much better for you in the long run to read up on how to. You can control the whole look of your shop by using HTML and CSS.

Hey Glcustoms,

You dont have to be so unwilling honestly.

I was looking for someone who was more willing!

But thanks for the link anyway!!!

Some way on the way i will find out how to go about it. Sooner or later.

Background image is one of my least concerns at the moment.

Have a great WE
