Guest
Hi, Can anyone help me please. When I normall get an order it is sent from Paypal to my email address in two emails. Firstly on gives the email address of the person who has ordered and it says Notification of Payment Received from Paypal. This email gives a general description of order but not quantities plus amount paid. Secondly I get and email that is addressed to me and it says Order Process again from Paypal, this email tells me who has ordered, what, and the amount. At the same time, in my Customers Order on my Oscommerce Customers Orders it gives me the order and customer details etc in full. All of a sudden I am only getting the one email which is the Notification of Payment Received that does not break down the order. I am not getting the order process email and the order is not being generated in my Oscommerce Customer Orders. I have not altered anything in my site, it just appears to have happened overnight. Can anyone help me please. Regards Val

I have done a 'dummy' purchase and it works for me but real bonefide customers orders are not showing up. I am very confused and need urgent help and advice. SexFairy
My OS Commerce is doing the same thing. The last order that came through correctly was paid by check, then the 2 paypal orders didn't come through... Could paypal be screwing up the order notification? Guest
My OS Commerce is doing the same thing. The last order that came through correctly was paid by check, then the 2 paypal orders didn't come through... Could paypal be screwing up the order notification? This happens when the customer doesn't return from Paypal, after they make the payment. It's not writing out the order. Mine does the same thing, with paypal standard (business account). There are two contributions I see recommended frequently. Paypal IPN Shopping Cart (which allows you to get the information out of the shopping cart) I'm sorry I don't know the exact names/locations of the contributions. If you search using those terms you'll find them. I don't get that many orders, a day, so the simple solution was to put in "master login". I sign into the customers account and just check them out basically COD, so it doesn't take me back to Paypal. I just changed the COD text to "Office Use Only" and disable it when I'm not using it. Takes about 30 seconds. Not pretty, but simple, and does the trick for low volume shops. There are many, many, discussions about this problem in this forum. If you do a search you should get the information you need to find a solution that fits your needs. Sorry, can't be more help, but maybe that points you in the right direction. chimol
I don't use the IPN and it's worked before, just now all of a sudden it doesn't seem to be working. I wonder if PayPal changed something? Guest
Like Billy said, if customers do not return to your site from paypal the order will not be recorded. Checkout_process.php is executed after returning from paypal. If you don't want to use the ipn module you may want to try this one. Order Logging Before Payment
