jin227
Thanks to all in advance for your help on this issue... I have been running my site for quite a while (OSC 2.2 msc) without any glitches. Yesterday I went into the admin portion of the site changed some images and the stock on hand. EVeything looked fine in admin but when I checked the live site it was asking for a user name and password to access. This is not a password protected portion of the site so somehow something changed in the updating of the site. I called our hosting company and they looked at the permissions and said they were all ok and that the new images had the same perimssions as the old ones. Then our customers called and said the too were not able to access the site.Although if you click several times on the cancel button the popup does go away. I am thoroughly confused and frustrated. Any help greatly appreciated our site..www.anansevillage.com

jin227
Thanks for taking a look. I got the following message from the hosting service "The images you uploaded check out OK, so please go ahead with the reload project. The problem was with the permissions on the PHP temporary folder where your images are uploaded via oscommerce before being moved to the /images folder, which has been corrected. I wasn't sure why this cropped up all of a sudden, but then remembered you said you haven't uploaded images in a while; this must have been related to an upgrade of the PHP server a few months ago, when the temporary folder was moved and the permissions didn't carry over correctly. Thank you," Arrrggggg! Silly me for believing them the first time.
