Is it only the image of the product that doesn't show? or is it all of the writeup on the product that doesn't show either? man of a reformed faith.

I've noticed osc don't like long file names. For category or display images. A simple INTMOUSE01.jpg is better then Intel_Mouse_4278192.jpg
Zachary Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 I am having a problem like this, I have loaded about 100 items and I have only 2 items where the image doesn't show up on the products info page. I have deleted the items and images and then reloaded them. But it still not showing up on the products' info page

Guest Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Hi there, Are you getting any sort of authorisation message, When you install osC certain folders require authorisation settings could these have been changed during your installation?

Hi, im not getting any authorisation messages, not that iv noticed anyway. Do you know which folders require these settings and what they should be set to? The only thing i did differently installing it this time was set the upload methos to "auto" on my ftp program, whereas the first time i think it was set to "ASCII". Many thanks.

Guest Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Hi there When you load the images via the admin catalog you have the ability to preview the item prior to inserting/updating the product, Does the photo show at this point? if the photo is seen at this point but later fails to be shown on the website, have you checked the database table to see if the root/path of the photo is being loaded to the database. this can be found in the products table column product_image.

Zachary Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 On mine the image appears during the insert/updating of the product. It shows up when you do a search for it in my catalog. But when you click to view the product that's where it doesn't show up. Visit My Website If you click on the second item listed (6' Component Cable) you'll see that the image doesn't appear. I checked the database and the image name show up in the database. I had a friend go through my whole catalog and he found 3 products that aren't working properly.

cabachona Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 pictures - binary modefiles - ascii mode Hi Coopco, I hope you can help me also. I do not understand this. The same thing is happening to my site. It is weird. I have tried downloading the pics from the server's file manager, from oscommerce at each item/category. This only happened today. I do not know why. I have been doing the same thing for over 12 months. I checked there are no ' or any other "foreign" marks. one file nameisalltogether and the other is all in caps. I have a mixture of both in all my other pics so it can't be that problem. I am hoping you can help. This is one area of my store: here While the other item is: Here When this happened before, the name of the pic was there, there were no pics in the images directory. Now they are all uploaded, I don't know what the problem is. hope you can help please :) Unconditional Love Makes The World Turn.
