t1234
Hi I've had a search to see if this has been covered in another thread but I can't find any so if you know of any please point me in the right direction! I've been developing an oscommerce site locally on a lamp setup and now I'm ready to put it up to a remote host and go live. I've modified some of the code and the database tables. What is the best method people have found ? What I am thinking is backing up the database locally, copying up all the code, creating the database on the remote host using phpMyAdmin with the same database name then restoring the backup image from the local database into the remote one. Does this sound like a good plan or is there anything I have missed ? Or is there a better way altogether, would I be better doing a fresh install then copying the code up ?
