leegodden
Hi I have been working on my oscommerce site on my local machine, and have made all my changes to the layout and customised it etc, and its now how I want it. So now am ready to upload to my Web hosts. Could anyone let me know if the below steps are correct. 1. Back up Database in php myAdmin on my local machine 2. Create blank Database on web host 3. Import backed up Database from Local machine to web host overwriting blank database 4. Using FTP, copy my oscommerce catalog folder containing all my adjusted files from my PC to my Web host root. 5. Change permissions on files where needed 6. Edit the two configure.php files. Is this right, have I missed anything..? Am unsure whether I need to install Oscommerce to my Web host Help much appreciated, am quiet nevous about this. Lee

Lee No those steps look fine as long as you are uploading ALL osCommerce files from your local server and not just the changed ones. Also you don't need to upload the catalog folder if you are running the site from root just all the files IN the catalog folder .. e.g. if the shop is going to run from www.mysite.com and not www.mysite.com/catalog.
