NuPixel
I'm setting up a website that will use osCommerce as it's shopping cart. However in OSC I'd like the front page where it says "new products for $month" to be displayed on my websites main front page since I am not using OSC as the main/index page for the site. The site/pages in questions are: osCommerce area: http://preview.tinyurl.com/7p97o8 Main website: http://preview.tinyurl.com/8qrx7c Again: I want the "new products for $month" to be displayed on the main page "http://preview.tinyurl.com/8qrx7c" where it says "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet "
lindsayanng
you need to make that page a PHP page, and then have it include the products_new.php page ibelieve.. I have dont that with various includes on my site with my previous html pages, and i had no issues. A great place for newbies to start Road Map to oscommerce File Structure DO NOT PM ME FOR HELP. NuPixel
Everything under where I put the include disappeared nor was the included file shown. I even tried doing the file inside /includes/language/english/products_new.php
lindsayanng
well, theres no sense in doing the english file. Thats just a define file. You have to encase the <?php require(PRODUCTS_NEW) ?> into a table, and dont forget to close the php tags A great place for newbies to start Road Map to oscommerce File Structure DO NOT PM ME FOR HELP. sLaV-
You have to also make sure that front homepage includes the main osCommerce includes files (e.g - application_top.php, application_bottom.php) so that a connection to the database can be made on the page and the correct database table to be selected/etc ... You have to encase the <?php require(PRODUCTS_NEW) ?> into a table, and dont forget to close the php tags needs to be <?php include(DIR_WS_MODULES . FILENAME_NEW_PRODUCTS); ?>
