Is OS Commerce a Shopping Cart?

I have built my store at this address: http://www.soulshea.com/products.html

 

I am only selling three products.

 

All I want to do is have the customer click on "Buy Now" and they are taken to a place to type in their zip code and they will get a drop down menu with the shipping options. I have tried using paypal, but the shipping would be inaccurate based on mulitple weights. Basically, I'm just looking for OS Commerce to provide the functionality of a shopping cart, and have Paypal handle the transaction.

 

I am using OS Commerce. Is there a way to bypass the storefront for OS Commerce and just configure it to create buy now buttons? Or, can I customize the look and feel of OS Commerce to look like my products page?

 

I am using:

 

osCommerce 2.2-MS2

 

PHP Version 5.2.5

3 products? osCommerce? No no. you dont need a boeing 777 if what you want to do is only buy a few daily items down the street.

LOL..thanks for the response. My hosting company offered OS Commerce as part of the plan, and so that's what I thought I needed. I am trying to get this set up. The problem is that my products have multiple weights = multiple shipping prices. Any reccomendations on a shipping module and/or shopping cart system I can use for my itty, bitty store?

osc is probably over kill for 3 products but it can do it. The question is what else will do what you want. I'll let you research the market.

 

Have a look at the osc demo site and see what it can do.

Delivery charges varying by wt is built in.

one or three normal html web pages each showing one product with description and a paypal or googlecheckout buy now button with price all inclusive, which is what i would do, and of course you can still fly your beoing777 if the street is wide & long enough :) .
