When an order is placed by a new customer, the customer gets a confirmation email and can log into the account, but they dont show up in the admin area and no order is visible. 2. The email address that is listed to get the new order emails receives nothing. Basically from the users end, everything looks like it works perfectly, but from our end we never knew they signed up or ordered anything. FIMBLE Posted January 5, 2009 Share Posted January 5, 2009 if you are using PayPal, which i expect you are you may need to install paypal IPN this creates an order before the customer leaves your site to pay. host134 Posted January 5, 2009 Author Share Posted January 5, 2009 Thank you for your response. I dont think that is the case since I tried several different orders and even used COD or pickup. I have completed the checkout process to the end and it still is not updating the database. What I find REALLY strange is that a customer that signs up, can log in and sign out, but there is nothing in the oscommerce admin area regarding them and I even checked the tables in the database and dont see records of them.
