Moving to different route directory and SSL question

I want to move my cart to a different domain and route directory....

 

It is on the same server/hosting account, just want to move to our main site with a simpler url.

 

I tried changing everything in the configure.php

 

but now getting an error writing to this configure.php

 

Where do I change the location of the configure.php file?

 

Also, is it safe to change the name of the catalog folder and just make the url easier by customizing the name of the catalog folder as the name of my shop?

 

And if I got a SSL certificate on one domain that is not being used.... can it secure another domain on my server? They are all on the same shared hosting account..... but I think I got the SSL for our main domain rather than another domain that actually has the shopping cart. This is part of the reason I want to move it.... and even if this isn't necessary.... it would be nice to have a better url if it isn't too difficult or have too many potential problems.

 

So just wondering, which php files must I change to move a cart?
