salewit
First off, thanks for putting all the work into this thing. And especially the documentation!! If OSC had docs like that, I think you'd see this forum shrink in size 90%! Anyway from the docs: "EasyPopulate requires the use of the product_model field (model number). It won't work without the model number. The model numbers you assign must be unique, i.e. you can't give all your products a product_model of "test"." I have certain products that are listed in multiple categories. What do I do then? When I exported the few entries I did by hand, it exported them properly with several product model numbers repeated as they should be. I hope I'm making sense. Thanks Sam

EP will use the model number to identify a particular product in the catalog. So if you have it in multiple categories, it will appear multiple times in the download. That's fine. The thing is, if you change the price on the first instance, but leave the second instance with the old price, then when you upload, EP will change the price when it reads the first record, and dutifully change the price right back to the old one when it reads the second record with that model number. So just be aware that if you have a product listed multiple times it will need to be changed in all those places. Does this make sense now? All those docs, and I still missed covering this.... 8-) Tim
