mmstoned
I've found a contribution that will allow me to replace a drop-down with a text field for the product attributes. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...arch,text+field I want to use the text field so somebody can enter the length of cable that they'd like to purchase and have that multiplied by the unit cost. Does anybody know if this will do that or will it just carry the entry in the text field over to the order form? Thanks!
♥geoffreywalton
Could you not add a qty box rather than attributes? Loads of contributions out there to do that. mmstoned
I didn't even know that they existed. Sounds like it would. Is there one in particular that you would recommend? My client wants a user to be able to choose the lenght of a cable and add connectors on both ends as options. So the cable end options would need to be added in only once per cable. Would a contribution that you metioned permit that?
mmstoned
I installed a contribution that did add the quantity text box after the product description. Unfortunately, it won't work a i need out of the box. Since it is a field for the "product quantity" if any options are added they are added for the nuber of items in the quantity box. Which is the way it should work. What I want to do is use that for a "length" variable and have the options, if selected, be added per length. This would also allow the user order mutliple cables of the same lenght with the same options. Is there anyway to accomplish this by modifiying the contribution? I used this contribution http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5533 Thanks again and Happy New Year!
