I had a website which expired but, I didn't now because my email account was deleted. I have purchased a new one but, really need some help in getting my wesite back up and running to how it was previously. My original site was placed on www.sugar-and-spice.uk.com and is now at www.craftyliscious.com I am hosted with powweb and this I just need to repoint everything but, am only a novice at website building and don't want to risk breaking the many hours work I put in and would really appreciate some assistance.

merry Christmas everyone

Not quite sure wht you need.

Do you have a back up of your site you can re install?

Hello many thanks for replying. My domain expired so I decided to change it and when I look at the website www.craftyliscious.com the formatting isn't correct, the images don't show etc. On my hosting website there is a link to repoint but, I didn't want to break the site completely. I am not sure from which angle I need to change things, do I configure my pages to point to the new URL or do I change my host settings to point to the new URL.

Hi

The problem seems to be that most of your images still point to your old web site (and some others point to uk.com (!) ). Same applies for your links, too, which redirect to uk.com instead of a 404 error...

You need to edit your configuration.php file (which is located in your /includes folder) to point to the correct domain. Make sure all paths are correct and pointed to craftyliscious.com

I suppose that will solve many of your broken images and links problems, but surely not all.

Good luck.
