Can anyone please tell me how to make to shopping cart info box?

 

I searched everywhere in vain.

Though i have seen it working somewhere.

Fimble Thank you for the link but none of them do i what i want:

 

-adding + and - to the info box.

 

-adding the option to delete each item.

 

-adding Detele the whole cart.

 

-adding Save this cart (based on Quick Pick contribution)

It's about 4 hours work. I know you don't like to hear it, but 4 hours is 10% of my week (actually less, since I work 70 hours a week, but let's assume 40). So, as a coder, if I give away 10% of my billable time for a week, you want me to trade that for what? I'm not sure what you expect. If I go to a mechanic I don't know, and ask him to take one less customer that week and do 4 hours of labor on my car for free, he'll say what?

 

You're asking people to do work for free. If you wanted to try it yourself and get advice, that's different, but it's at Least 4 hours, probably 6 with testing...that's a big favor to ask. I would consider doing it as a contrib, but it would need to wait a couple weeks or so.

The first three items are no more than 10 minutes work each. Have a look at the "cart functions" in application_top and make a few more to add 1, decrease 1, destroy cart and so on.

 

The 4th item (save this cart) already exists as part of the core oscommerce code, doesn't it?

Hi Burt, you are right for a coder it's just a question of few minutes, but some people with little programming knowledge think that it is difficult and needs 4 hours.. Nonsense.. I have never coded in my life but i succeeded at adding Delete the whole cart.

No this doesn't exist in oscommerce core. It is an already made contribution, i just want to make a small change in it, which means ONE minutes work.

 

I wanted to add a Save my Cart button in the shopping cart infobox. Does this need 4 hours!! huhhh

@JEFF, I do agree with you it will be a good contribution. But, i don't agree A COUPLE OF WEEKS to get done a 10 minutes of work contribution.

is it that difficult to add two buttons to increase or decrease quantity in the shopping cart info box?!

 

 

Please don't blame me, i tried but i failed as i don't have much skill in coding.
