pcsilvergoat Posted December 24, 2008 Share Posted December 24, 2008 Hi, I am working on a server switch with my store and after uploading everything to the new server I get this error when you go to a product page: "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete." Every other page works including the admin and customer order history. I only get this error with the product pages. Please help! I am on a bluehost server now. Your link works fine, and I can get to a blank product_info.php fine, so somewhere after it looks up the product information it must be going crazy redirecting to a redirect... over and over again.... In fact I found several threads in the forum based on this same problem and none of them comes with a solution. siol Posted March 23, 2009 Share Posted March 23, 2009 I was considering htaccess as the potential cause, but the one I see seems to be setup correctly, I do not see any redirect there. Mind you both websites are located on the same server, the original first website works and the second one with new domain and IP is showing the problem. I copied the old base into a new one, reconfigured everything, emptied the tables and checked for obvious reasons. However no joy... Anyone willing to be an occasional webmaster for small osc jobs? hari_shyam Posted March 23, 2009 Share Posted March 23, 2009 Hi Roger I have been with blue host and never had issues. by the way that is one nice configurator ;) mostly it is the tep_redirect. go to includes/functions/general.php find the function and try to output the url to which the redirection is taking place. that might help us a bit.
