Image stretch on widescreen monitors

I have noticed that when I view my website at work on an IBM machine with a widescreen monitor that the images stretch and get skewed. This happens on IE and Firefox and I have noticed that websites like BBC news (or just about any other website) it does not stretch.

 

I have also checked a normal aspect ratio screen and the website looks fine, and at home I run on an iMac (late 2007 model), which is widescreen aspect, and everything looks fine.

 

Any ideas why it would only stretch on some widescreen monitors, but other websites do not? I'm guessing it has something to do with my "head" information, or possibly my backend server???????
